At the beginning of this year, I never imagined that I would be writing this tribute.

I never imagined that the man I loved for over 50 years will no longer be here with us. We had so many plans, but God wanted him home. His companionship, guidance and love are missing, and the absence is so strong.

Peter Tanimomo Adeyemi, my husband, the father of my children was a great man. He was our spiritual head, a provider, a giver, a teacher and a servant leader. He was strict but loving, firm but caring. He was such a blessing in my life. He was the perfect example for our children, and I am proud to have been his wife.

I have so many memories of the laughter we had,  the memories we shared and I can’t believe we have no more. There are so many stories to reminisce on, the people he has touched, the lives he has impacted.

He was a man of faith and integrity. A lover of God who made sure his life was a living sacrifice. He spent a better part of his life building for God and he loved his work. He was so dedicated to ensuring that his assignment was properly executed.

My darling husband, I miss you so much. I miss my travel partner, my confidant, my prayer partner and my lover.

I know you are resting in the bosom of our Lord, and I look forward to when I will see you again.
